1995 Isuzu Trooper LS
My wife picked up this truck when I was on my lst patrol (off the coast of South America) for $2000.  The previous owner thought it had serious mechanical problems on the near horizon, but I don't see them yet.  But, with 180,000 miles, they can't be too far...

Currently, this truck is all stock.  I plan to make a few mild changes to it, but they will be mild.  Mostly just some larger tires really.  I figured out that it has a factory limited slip, so a locker would be to tough of a sell now (need tha money elsewhere anyway).

You can't see it in this picture, but the truck was hit in a parking lot just after my wife bought it.
The body got dented in just forward of the hatch on the right side.  Guess that beats my crushing the door in on my last 4x4 :)  Other then that, the body and interior are in near perfect shape.

I ripped out the electic brake controller that was in there for a trailer.  Anything that requires trailer brakes is too heavy for this thing anyway.  And, it had one of those old cell phones still in here, my Jo took care of that one (though, I still need to rip the wiring out).

As you can plainly see, this thing as IFS.  Did I ever say IFS sucks?  Oh well, I don't need to be wheeling this one anyway.  The rear is on coils, so with the IFS it rides really smooth.
But, either the shocks are worn, or they are just too soft for the weight.  This thing sways way too much for my comfort (about the same as my Bronco II, after I removed the sway bars).  So I am thinking some Rancho 5000's should do the trick there.  And, for those tough to reach camping spots, I will put disconnects on the sway bars :)

The wife and I plan to hook this up to the trailer as soon as possible.  When we do, I will play around in the dirt a little to see how this thing does.  Hollister is a nice spot, and my girls love it there, so a run through some of the obsticle course will be in order.
So, there you have it, one super flexy Trooper ready for the 'Con.

Damn, I need another toy :(
